Early Response Team

The purpose of the Early Response Team is to prevent abuse and neglect which would require Child Welfare Services intervention.

It is the belief of the Early Response Team partners that by enhancing parental functioning and child development, and by preventing abuse and neglect, the health and dignity of children and thier parents will be improved and the integrity of families will be preserved. Central to this belief is the recognition that children are best served by remaining with their families.

The Early Response Team is a voluntary in-home "wrap-around" program which provides intensive case management services, utilizing a team of Public Health Nurses, Drug & Alcohol Counselors, Social Workers, and Educators to respond to the needs of families with children ages 0-17 years.

These services are available county wide.
