Guided by the HIV Prevention Community Planning Committee comprised of concerned community members, program staff perform prevention education and outreach to the community of Tehama County in an effort to prevent HIV transmission.

Tehama County HIV/AIDS Education & Prevention is proud to serve as the local Coordinating Agency for Positively Speaking. Positively Speaking is a statewide program that trains persons infected/affected by HIV to present their personal experiences to schools and other groups. Presenters receive 16 hours of specialized training including basic facts about HIV disease, school district policies and legal issues concerning HIV/AIDS instruction, and presenting prevention messages that support behavioral change.
