 Safe Communities

Safe Communities is a revolutionary Injury Prevention Program that uses a "bottoms up" approach to injury prevention.

The Tehama County Health Agency, Public Health Division was awarded a three year grant from the Department of Health Services, Maternal and Child Health Branch.

Currently  Safe Communities is in the development of injury prevention interventions.  We are working with teens, local businesses and agencies to address the leading cause of childhood injury & deaths in our county -- deaths and injuries to teens in motor vehicles.

Please visit our web site for Injury statistics, Program Details and links to Injury Prevention sites.
